Destitute certificate is a significant document for applying / claiming for any relaxations under Government of Kerala, if one is a destitute.

 

Who is a destitute?

 

  1. The residents of a state, who is residing there for a continuous period from not more than two years immediately preceding the date of application, who does not have a first order relative (father, mother, son) of or above the age of 20 years.
  2. A woman whose husband is dead yet, not re-married and have no source of any income or having a nominal pension/income of Rs. 300 only and those who have no relative of or above age of 20 years.
  3. A child / unmarried woman whose parents are dead and does not have any first 

relations (father, mother, son) who is of or above the age of 20 years.


* A woman whose husband is missing for more than 7 years can be deemed as a widow.

 

Supporting documents to be uploaded:

 

  1. Aadhaar Card
  2. Election/Voters ID
  3. Ration Card

 

Time Frame to issue the Certificate:

 

5 days from the date of application

 

Validity:

 

3 Years from the date of issue of certificate

Fee Details

Rs.18/- (Akshaya service charge) + Rs.7 (Govt.Service charge) + Rs.3 per page for scanning /printing
SC / ST families need to pay Rs 10 + Rs.2 per page for scanning /printing
BPL families need to pay Rs 20
